The Dukan Diet” Program we have found gives you some great options.

How do I get motivated to lose weight?

Don’t be discouraged; there is a way to get motivated. So what can you do if you have bad knees and hips, or you just can’t walk long distances? Well, start with something you like and know you can improve upon. Stand up and sit down — 10 extra times, walk to the mailbox — three times extra, bend over and touch your toes or kneecaps — fifteen times extra. Get my drift? Those of you who are able can start with a 20 minute walk after dinner, then increase. Push just a little more every day and you will begin to see a difference. Just remember, our bodies generally begin to burn fat after 20 minutes of  cardio exercise.

How can I not be depressed about being overweight when my usual routines begin to fail?

  • Poor Eating Habits
  • Irregular Exercise
  • Hectic Daily routine
  • Uncomfortable Work Environment

All these above mentioned factors can affect our body’s ability to lose weight. We know we can make subtle changes to all these mentioned points. Try making changes in your eating habits by eating better balanced meals. Add increased exercise to your daily routine by taking the stairs more often, or parking further away to increase your walk time. You remember, the “extras” we mentioned in the previous question about motivation.  Just STOP making excuses that you can’t lose weight because you don’t have time. Small step changes work. The more you do, the more you are able to do. That Blob in the Mirror isn’t going away until you actively do something about it.
